PEI Tea Biscuits

This tea biscuit recipe belonged to my husband's mother. The biscuits are his absolute favorite thing to eat. In fact, mastering this recipe was the #1 criteria he used when considering me for marriage. I still use her tomato can to cut the biscuits out! My mother-in-law passed away before we were married, and in her honor, we served these biscuits with strawberry shortcake fixings instead of a wedding cake at our reception. Biscuits are a big thing in Prince Edward Island where she was born and raised. These are delicious with jam, butter, or just by themselves.
