Gaston Scored a Lake Trout!

There are three new additions to today's blog.

First of all, Gaston caught a beautiful Lake Trout right in front of our cabin yesterday. The location was a first! He has been taking care of his minnows in a small cooler and changing the water out each evening before bringing them from the porch into the cabin so they don't freeze solid overnight. So far so good!

Second item on the agenda today is a new post in Ricky's Corner entitled, "The New Principal." Check it out! I'm sure that Ricky's intent is not to offend anyone, so if you should see yourself in any of his posts, rest be assured, it's not about you... or maybe it is. As my mother used to say, "If the shoe fits, wear it!" The post is a follow up on the previous post, so if it's not making sense, go back and re-read "A Slow Day in January."

Lastly, I posted my Bran Muffin recipe. My dad has been looking at the recipes, and I thought he might like to try this one out, too!
