Moose Sightings and Raging Wind

As we were driving into town this past week, I spotted two calves going into the bush from the road. They disappeared, and then their mother appeared in the bush. She stared us down, and we ended up leaving the area first!

We still haven't seen any bears, but I did hear a loon on the lake yesterday morning. What a wonderful sign of spring! It has been extremely windy here off and on, though, and yesterday two trees snapped and fell on both sides of the cabin. It wasn't weather I care to go out in.

We picked up more batteries this week to add to our solar system collection.
