This Poor Slipper

What tragedies do you see here? Not only has this slipper been burned by a flying ember from the wood stove, it was caught in a mouse trap while my foot was under my desk. Knock on wood; we haven't had a mouse problem in the cabin yet. I set mouse traps, just in case.
